Your safari puts you in safe, experienced hands from start to finish. All our guides and client-facing staff carry communication devices such as cell phones for convenience and security. This means the right staff member stays reachable whenever needed. If you need office assistance, our team provides round-the-clock emergency contact support too.
Successful journeys depend on strong transportation. Tripsopedia Safaris maintains its own fleet of well-kept safari vehicles, from safari minivans to extended 7-seater safari Land Cruisers. Every vehicle in our fleet has a pop-up roof, so you can capture great photos throughout your trip.
We commit to sustainability and to protecting cultural heritage and the natural environment on every safari we run. We provide reusable water bottles to cut down on plastic use. We promote community tourism and support local community projects, including the Ride 4 a Woman project, which empowers women and girls affected by HIV/AIDS and domestic violence.
We choose our recommended lodges with care and work only with eco-friendly accommodations to reduce tourism's impact on the environment. We remind clients throughout their trip to respect local culture and help preserve the cultural and artistic heritage of the communities they visit.

These terms cover every safari you book with Tripsopedia Safaris Ltd. They replace any earlier terms and take effect right away. Tap a section below to read it.
We quote all prices in United States Dollars (USD). Each quote shows two costs and a total: Ground Handling and Permits.
Once you confirm a safari, you pay a booking deposit of 25% of the Ground Handling cost and 100% of the permit cost. We do not book any services or buy any permits until you pay these deposits. Once we receive your deposits, we send you confirmation of the services booked and permits bought.
You must pay the balance of the Ground Handling cost at least 30 days before your tour starts. We accept payment by bank wire transfer or by credit card: Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. Credit card payments carry a 5% surcharge.
We reserve rooms based on two people sharing a double room. Single rooms come at a supplementary cost. We reserve the right to book alternative hotels or lodges when the named ones are not available.
We provide transport on safari in Uganda in 4-wheel-drive vehicles: Land Cruisers or minivans. We reserve the right to employ subcontractors where necessary. We supply bottled water in all vehicles.
We recommend bottled water at all hotels and lodges. Avoid drinking water directly from the tap.
Observe the rules of each national park for your own safety.
We make every effort to follow the itineraries we give clients. If weather or other causes require a change to the sequence of an itinerary or a lodge, we reserve the right to make that change.
Prices reflect prevailing tariffs at the time of printing and stay subject to change without prior notice. If tariffs increase due to factors outside our control, such as park entry fees and activity tariffs, we notify you.
Most nationals need a visa for Uganda. The cost runs USD $50 per person per entry. Apply for and secure your visa at least a week before arrival, at visas.immigration.go.ug. You can only obtain visas online.
Consult a travel clinic or your physician for the right malaria medication. Start it a couple of weeks before arrival and continue for a couple of weeks after your return. Wear long sleeved shirts and long trousers after dark to cut your chance of bites.
Consult the nearest Uganda embassy for current vaccine requirements. Entry to Uganda from a Yellow Fever endemic zone requires a vaccine. People older than 60 or younger than 1, and anyone with a doctor's letter, are exempt. If you enter Uganda directly from a non-endemic zone (Europe, USA, Australia), you do not need the vaccine.
Take out insurance when you pay your deposit, covering cancellation, medical evacuation, and luggage loss. Your health insurance policy needs to cover emergency evacuation or repatriation. We do not sell travel insurance, so arrange it in your country of origin.
All companies we use for air transfers, scheduled or chartered, hold local licenses and full authorization.
Submit all cancellation requests in writing. If you cancel fully, these charges apply to the Ground Handling portion of your tour price:
| Timing Before Tour | Charge |
|---|---|
| Between 90 and 60 days | 25% |
| Between 60 and 30 days | 50% |
| Between 30 and 15 days | 75% |
| Within 15 days | 100% |
If you want to postpone instead of cancelling, we facilitate rebooking to a new date, subject to availability and related price changes. Your tour consultant calculates any price increase and communicates it at the time of rebooking.
Gorilla and Chimpanzee Trekking Permits: These permits are non-refundable. If you cancel your safari, you forfeit the full payment made for them. If you wish to reschedule, the Uganda Wildlife Authority allows two free reschedules to future dates. A third reschedule needs express agreement from the Executive Director of the Uganda Wildlife Authority and carries a charge of 25% of the permit value.
Tell us and the supplier of the service immediately if a problem occurs. Most problems get resolved on the spot. If you remain dissatisfied, write to us with details of your complaint within 28 days of the end of our services under the contract. We cannot accept responsibility for complaints not notified this way.
"Force Majeure" means circumstances beyond our control: war, threat of war, civil strife, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather, government actions, or similar events that prevent or affect our performance of the contract with you. In these circumstances, we hold no liability to pay compensation or cover expenses or losses you incur if we cancel, delay, curtail, or change your arrangement.
Tripsopedia Safaris Ltd and its agents accept no responsibility for personal injury, accident, illness, death, delays, theft, loss or damage to baggage or property, or itinerary changes due to force majeure. We hold no responsibility for delays, cancellation, or non-acceptance of reservation of air space.
